With a 35-year history as a custom designer and fabricator of metals that started her career in the fashion industry, originally named Top Drawer. Thinking outside of the box De Picciotto’s innovative eye took industrial components as her art medium and created a widely successful jewelry and accessories fashion trend in Wearable Industrial Art.

Recognized for her creative ingenuity De Picciotto’s designs were exhibited in GuggenheimMuseum, New York and Los Angeles County Museums of Art among others. In 1989 and 1990 she was named one of the top 10 Los Angeles Jewelry Designers by LACMA. The company’s products have been featured in Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Elle, Mademoiselle, Seventeen and InFashion to name a few.

Always adapting to meet the client’s needs expanding from jewelry into other design areas with its current focus in metal and logo identification. Steel Threads, Inc., evolving into a full private label design house.

Transcending and perfecting her knowledge in all types of metals De Picciotto has collaborated and designed with well-known established companies making zipper pulls for YKK, watch bands for Fossil, and a plethora of items for Leeds one of the top suppliers in the Promotional Products Industry.
